Josh Ehret

Thank you for offering a great small framed crossbow. My 7 year old son hunted with me last year with no success. This year he wanted to get in on the archery season. I found the Challenger to be perfect. We started practicing with a bipod, evolved to free hand, then to a tree in the back yard. Several dozen shots a day for three months. He was ready. I had been scouting my mother in-laws' farm in Pennsylvania for months and had just the right tree. With rain and hot weather the deer were not moving as I had expected so we moved down to the corn fields and set up a position just inside the rows of corn. The deer came out from the other side and Josh did not have a shot from his prone position. With the deer standing 15 yards away Josh had to move about six feet to get the shot, with me on my knees I could see the deer and told him where to move. Five minutes and six feet later, Josh had moved into a better position without spooking the deer. I whispered to him, "Josh, when you get a good......" WHACK! He didn't need me to tell him when to take the shot. I looked up just in time to see a great double lung shot. He asked if he could track the deer and after seeing the bubbly blood, I knew it would not be far and he took the lead. About 60 yards away he claimed he first deer! A small doe but a real trophy for a 7 year old. It would not have been possible without his Challenger.
