This bow is everything I had hoped for....
I just received my new Shooting Star a couple of days ago. I purchased it from Korner Archery in Clayton, IN. I've known the owner, Bob Hudson, for several years as a fellow shooter. He's a great guy and as a former business owner myself, I can attest to his integrity and concern for his customers. He ask many questions before the sale in order to make sure that he delivers a product that will suit the needs of the customer. That's getting harder to find these days. Not since my uncle owned Sutphin's Archery, an Indiana Bear dealership back in the sixties and seventies, have I seen that kind of interest in the archers needs and complete satisfaction. Bob is exactly what every manufacturer should be looking for in a dealer/ representative.
This bow is everything that I had hoped for. As a former Indiana NFAA pro shooter and student of archery fundamentals, my hat is off to Parker for creating such a quiet, smooth, stable, easy shooting, "short" bow. I call it short due to my 40 years of shooting experience and long use of recurves and longer axle to axle bows. This bow took all of the 30 shots to set up and sight in. It shoots 10 ring groups at 20 yards with ease. The funny part is that I'm a hard head and refuse to shoot any rest other than the old "springy". I've not owned a modern single cam bow that was as easy to set up as this one and I've owned several, of many different breeds. Most don't lend themselves to shooting off of a springy rest as easy as this one has. The bow is exceptionally quiet and fairly fas even for a bow with such a high fistmele. We got 260 feet per second with 29.5" ACC 3-28 shafts w/70 grain poings at 58 lbs. Well done everyone. Don't change a thing.
Thanks again for a fantastic design.
Sincerely,
Jim Wilson Indianapolis, IN |
