Parker To Expand Facilities

Mint Spring, VA March 23, 2007– Parker Compound Bows, now entering it’s 11th year as one of the top manufacturers of high quality compound bows and crossbows, is expanding it’s manufacturing facilities.

Parker President & CEO Bob Errett announced today that Parker has committed to a 12,830 sq. ft. facilities expansion project set to break ground in mid-April and be completed by late autumn 2007. At a cost of $1+ million, the new facilities expansion will include revamped administrative offices, larger and more efficient bow production capabilities and redesigned traffic flow to streamline product shipments.

Bob Errett commented recently. “Our explosive growth in the last several years has once again led us to the conclusion that it’s time to physically grow Parker in order to continue to service all our existing customers as well as new customers at the highest possible level. To remain competitive you have to invest in your strengths and at Parker, our three most important strengths have always been great products, service and delivery.”

Mathers Construction Team of Waynesboro, VA and area architect, Woodson Parrish, will collaborate on the project using the Mathers Imagineering Process to develop cost-effective construction solutions. Mathers has worked with Parker Bows closely over the years, making this their fourth project together.

Parker has also decided to enhance plant safety and upgrade the fire prevention capability by installing a sprinkler system in the new additions, and throughout the existing facility.

Bob Errett had this to add, “We plan for success by doing the right things everyday. Our employees and our dedicated independent dealer network expect us to step up to the plate and compete at the highest possible levels so expanding Parker is really nothing new. We’ve met this challenge 4 times in the last 11 years. In my mind, this expansion however is somewhat different. We’re ready to roll out a strategic plan, which involves aggressively recruiting archery dealers and penetrating new territories. Our exponential growth and anticipated increase in sales means we’ll need a facility and additional staff to meet the demand and keep our legendary service level in tact.”
