Parker Bows in Iraq

Mint Spring, VA March 26, 2007, Parker Compound Bows now entering it's 11th year as one of the top manufacturers of high quality compound bows and crossbows announced today it was working with soldiers deployed to Iraq to provide them with recreational opportunities using Parker bows when not on patrol.
In a cooperative arrangement with MAJ Clifford A. Diffendaffer, soldiers under his command and other officers stationed FOB Endurance (Q-West) Parker shipped a number of bows, arrows and archery accessories to Iraq. “We live and work in an environment that ranges from sheer boredom to very intense periods of activity. This roller coaster can take a toll on morale but the bowhunters in our group keep our edge by engaging in some friendly archery competition and in the process actually end up helping each other. We can’t thank the good people at Parker enough for their support and the archery gear. They took the time to listen to us and responded. That went a long way to the men and women stationed over here.”
Parker VP of Sales Johnny Grace pointed out “I don’t think we’re unique in trying to help our troops or at the very least support them in any way we can. On average, the amount of inquiry from deployed soldiers far exceeds our capacity to help everyone who asks. Every once in a while though the ability and opportunity to come together on something like this and it just happens. We’re honored to have helped Maj. Diffendaffer and his men. Look what they’re sacrificing for us!”
